Artificial intelligence is changing how organizations operate, but throughout my career I've found that technology is rarely the hardest part of transformation. Whether working with global enterprises, executive leadership teams, or organizations navigating complex technology decisions, I have consistently observed the same pattern. Organizations succeed not because they purchase better technology, but because they build stronger leadership, governance, information, and organizational capabilities around it. Those experiences ultimately became the foundation for the Executive Intelligence Framework™ and this book.
My career has centered on helping organizations solve complex business challenges through technology, data, governance, and executive strategy. Having worked with enterprise leaders across multiple industries, I've seen firsthand how artificial intelligence creates tremendous opportunity while also exposing organizational weaknesses that technology alone cannot solve. At the same time, my doctoral research in organizational leadership, information systems, and enterprise AI has allowed me to connect practical executive experience with emerging academic research, creating a framework grounded in both real-world application and scholarly evidence.
I wrote Executive Intelligence™ because I believe executive leaders need a different conversation about artificial intelligence. The market is filled with books explaining what AI can do. Far fewer examine what organizations must become if AI is to create lasting business value. My hope is that this work helps leaders think beyond technology implementation and instead build organizations that learn continuously, govern responsibly, adapt confidently, and create enduring value regardless of how technology evolves. If readers finish this book thinking differently about leadership rather than simply knowing more about AI, then it will have accomplished exactly what I hoped.
